Interlibrary Loan Service
The Interlibrary Loan Service between our libraries is very important as it is the means by which a wider range of material can be available to the users. In order to provide quality services, the various libraries have the obligation to obtain this material to meet the information needs of their users when their library cannot meet these needs. Users through interlibrary loan have the opportunity to request from the library that serves them, material that exists in other public libraries.Material available through interlibrary loan are articles, books, volume pages, conference proceedings, conference publications, announcements, photocopies of statistical data, etc. and the ways of delivering them can be via courier service, e-mail, fax.
It is important for our libraries to know that they must be willing to lend material from their collection because only with cooperation between them, the interlibrary loan service will be successful.
All libraries are therefore invited to join the interlibrary loan service for better and more efficient service for its members but also for the purpose of modernizing the services they offer, in order to develop common policies and actions.
Libraries that are interested to participate in the service can fill in the form that follows.
